Is that story about the family of that 101 year old granny wanting the care home in Stockton to stay open just for her a bit OTT?

It does seem a little bit selfish and two fingers to the council tax payers and makes you wonder if those doing the complaining and that are workshy lazy bastads who don't pay council tax, but not knowing the full facts I couldn't possibly comment.

in a couple of month they will have knocked it down and be building houses on it,it's like the council with wynyard house they said that it would cost too much money to upgrade it,so instead converted it to offices for itself, same as briarfields to me they always have an ulterior motive(money)

Houses should have been built on Briarfields, it's a nice spot for them and the money from the land sale would've eased the burden on the council tax.

Unfortunately only about 30% of adults in Hartlepool pay council tax cos the rest are workshy lazy inbred bastads and have time on their hands to complain and protest about things that would actually be of benefit to those who get off their arses to go to work for a living.

I said the same thing to Mrs Grave last night but she thought i was being cruel in calling the old woman selfish.

I then called Mrs Grave a cupid stunt. That told her.

Last night I did not get any cunjugals. That told me

I don't think it's a case of the old woman being selfish, God bless her but looking her she could be in a tent in the middle of the Maasai Mara for all she knows, when the news feature showed the lady with her family it was clear she had no inclination of who the people were and where she was anymore. It's the family kicking up a stink for whatever reason, if she passes away in the next few months they'll probably sue the council for moving her FFS get real man she's 101.

Don't worry, the governemnt have found £500 billion pounds to shore up some lame duck banks I'm sure they'll cough up a few quid to keep that home open.

Yeah.....let the banks fold, I don't mind losing my savings and PERSONAL pension fund which I have paid into for the past 15 years and I'm sure millions of others will just laugh it off, like this, ha ha, ohh there goes me pension, there goes me house, never mind, the cash could of kept ONE council home open.....

Having said that, I could always work for the council I'm sure they could make a post up for me, like the hundreds of others which have been made up in the past 10/15 years, and then I can cop a pension from them and if I don't like the 27hr week, 37 days holiday, fully sick pay and a day off for the Queens birthday, I could always go on strike

Council workers threatening to go on strike? Thats like Darlington FC threatening their fans with removal of 10000 seats.
