You'll find no mention of it on the Pools offical site but heres what Northampton's site says.

Quote:
Stuart Gray's side were ahead on 17 minutes, soon after the officials had twice failed to spot fouls by visiting defenders on the edge of the penalty area, firstly on Akinfenwa and then on Guttridge. Abdul Osman was picked out by Mark Little on the right and his cross was taken down by Karl Hawley at the near post. Hawley held off his man and sent a finish beyond keeper Aaran Lee-Barrett.

So the cross came from their right winger. What a fuck ing shock!

Not at all, perish the thought. I would never utter such heresy.

Our left back is too blame for everything, including the collapse off the financial markets, according to Mr I.

sorry to repeat a message in another thread
yes it did come from the right but...
.. the keeper was beaten, at his near post
now that in my book is not good.

Be as facetious as you like but he's no left back and every time he's up against a better than poor right winger we concede.

But the cross against Leicester came from the left and you didn't blame McCunnie

It's pathetic that people single out individuals all of the time when you win and lose as a team.

I have said for somewhere near two years that neither full backs are up to the job.

Barron was the last full back we had, since then we've played people weren't good enough.

That would be fair enough if you'd consistently had digs at the right back as well for two years!

It's not his fault he's playing full back, he just happens to be a good pro who'll get his head down and do his best to do a job. He isn't good enough at the moment to be a left a left back in league one but why go on ,and on, and on?

I go on and on and on because I am hugely frustrated that a player gets a game for eternity irrespective of performance. Also I live in the vain hope that the manager might one day listen.

Barron wasn't a fullback either, he was a centre half asked to cover in that position.

In typical Hartlepool fashion!

So what? He did a good job at full back. None of the current squad do that.

and then a a simple thought meanders across the mind of Mr D Wilson " I wonder if a Nelson/Clark central defensive partnership would work ?" and in shops, offices, factories and jobcentres all around Hartlepool five thousand people hold their breath.

but Nelson should be taking his share of the blame because he has been poor as well. He took the pressure right off Northampton's defence, when their goal was under siege, by hitting the worst shot from the edge of the box you are ever likely to see. It was a junior school kid's effort - but 90% of his shooting and passing has been like that anyway this season.
A pro footballer should be able to strike a ball cleanly from that position, with no opponent in the way of the strike.
