Ok we've done Films, we've done books, we've done music!

No point in doing computer games 'cos most of you lot are too old

Ok! subject close to all of our hearts - favorite pub & why

Mine is the Cherry Burton Arms near Driffield, a pub so old fashioned they don't have a bar, you tell the landlord what you want & he goes out the back & pulls it from wooden casks (well a few years ago anyway)

at this very moment they are dismantling the FLEECE
in Northgate
they have turned the coop top floor into flats with views of the Herrema shed

and down the stripes they have built a "carbunkle on the neck of an old friend" a gym complete with 3 keep fitters on the back of the Borough hall

when i grow up i will join the council and throw all these interlopers off the Headland and close the gate

I have to agree with a lot of you, the Causeway is one of the best pints of Strongarm you will ever get, i remeber working there 10 years ago now and it was £1.34 a pint now it is £2.20. Mutters do you get in to see any of the bands, these were on recently I think I have heard you mention them before

aahh, Little Stevie and the Business...appearing at a pub in the town sometime soon, name escapes me. Anyway, who said the beer was expensive in here?

Happy hour Mon - Fri 12pm - 7pm (a long hour granted!!!)
Fosters £1.90/ pint
John Smiths £1.80/ pint
80/- £1.80/ pint
Exhibition - £1.80/ pint

Beer goes up to £2.15 a pint all other times
Foster's goes up to £2.40 a pint all other times.
If anybody wants to know why the prices are set where they are, they should try running a pub!!!!!

PS The Office charges £2.60 a pint of John Smiths at peak times!!!

PPS Put it this way, anyone who thinks we are coining it in should ponder why I 'm still working my shift job at Avecia!!!!!(formerly ICI to those who haven't heard of them)!!!!!

PPPS We haven't increased the price of Kronenbourg, Guinness, Woodpecker or Strongbow for over a year!!!

Best pub?
Cant remember what its called but I could find it again, in Bruges.
Been there twice.
Down a back alley, tiny little thing, away from the crowds.
360 different types of Belgian beer, nearly all with their own glasses.
Served in halves as 6 percent is pretty weak for a belgian. Go up to 12 percent
By the time you've got through four halves you're pretty merry already and you dont need a piss every half hour at the arse end of the night.
Some of the glasses are ridiculous shapes and sizes and you dont know what your beer is coming in til the barman brings it to your table. When you've had a few you dont care anymore.
Belgian beer is the greatest. Dont get me wrong, I like a pint of Ruby Red but there's nothing beats a Belgian.
