I spent this morning in the town and time in Sunderland this afternoon driving around and oddly, I spotted more Sunderland shirts in Hartlepool (the blue away ones mostly) than I did in Sunderland....... sctatchinghead Could it be that those floating fans we seem to have lost were really just pissed off Hartlepool Mackems who returned to the fold now they're back in the top flight?

Jonny was out drinking in the Borer on Friday night (I know, you try to bring them up right  ), and stayed at a mates. On Saturday lunchtime, after he surfaced, he had a walk around the town centre. He said that he saw more people wearing Pools shirts than Borer ones.

Oddly enough I quite like boro fans ( PROVIDING THEY'RE NOT FROM hARTLEPOOL), when I was at college for five years through there I always knocked about with the boro lads in preference to the ones from Hartlepool who I went with originally... you always got a laugh. My problem has always been with the media arrogance we've had to endure for many years locally.... and in particular the monopolisation and general rarfdom of that knot of presenters who seem to have a hold on local radio and TV.
