Heard a good one today-Graham Kavanagh 12 grand a week at Sunderland

Wilson wants to get him to accept 2 grand to play for Pools

personally i think its time to get back to playing 4-4-2 and passing the ball to feet.

it comes as no suprise whatsoever that 3 of those 4 defeats came when wilson inexplicably decided to abandon the front pairing of porter and brown.

its certainly time to abandon the idea of playing porter as a sole target man, a role he isnt built for.

its time to get clark back in at centre half and giving collins a break.

and its time for wilson to go asking managers in the premiership if they have any solid full backs he can borrow for 3 months.

what would the performance level of someone like Kavanagh be like, having taken a 10k a week cut?
Mind you, I reckon Boland must have taken a substantial cut to leave Cardiff and come here.
What some of these players will realise is that their options are beginning to run low, and they are at the end of their careers. They can go one of two ways - firstly they could play like they always have because they still enjoy it, and the money side of it hopefully doesn't matter so much because they've already built up a decent stash somewhere. Secondly they could be like Chris Llewellyn. Ouch!!!
To be fair to Boland, he has always looked a good player when he is on his game and a very good pro. If they're honest pros, they'll always give 100% and I think Kavanagh and Boland are very similar in styles and integrity, they would never let their standards drop and have their reputation damaged because they care about the game too much, regardless of how much they are earning.
Players like Llewellyn on the other hand are a disgrace to themselves and to football for being such mercenaries.

I'd be delighted if we got Graeme Kavanagh. A bit of bite (and real quality) in the centre of midfield and Liddle could fill the weakest area of our team at the moment, right back.
