Heard them twittering on about it on SSN this morning - couldn't make neither hide nor hair of how the points system works and how that would effect who won. sctatchinghead sctatchinghead sctatchinghead

I'll stick to 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw, and 0 for a loss thanks very much

The rules are simple,
One gadgie hoys a ball, another stops it with his bat or knee pads, everyone stands about for a bit & then they do it again.
After a while they stop for a cup of tea & a vol au vent sandwich before the gadgies with the balls & the gadgies with the bats swap places.
An hour later it starts to rain so they call it a draw & all go smoke some pot.

Last time I went to Chester le Street it began to rain long before they had chance to stand around for a bit and do it again

Durham have surely got their game in the bag, so it's all down to what happens at the Rose Bowl

*cough* Trent Bridge

Watching the game on Sky a 300+ run chase will be very difficult as the wicket is painfully slow.

Fingers crossed but it looks in the bag for Durham.

Is it at Notts?! Oops, thought Hants had already played there. :uhoh:

Yeah at Trent Bridge. The wicket is that slow chasing Hants lead even as it stands now will be very, very tricky in a day. Notts tried to score at healty rate yesterday and collapsed Hampshire have ground a decent score out tomorrow Notts will have to chase the win.

Imran Tahir was the Marton pro last year. He skittled Blackhall with something like 8-24 and I remember saying to the lads something along the lines of "we just can't play leg spin". Having watched him on telly, I can see why!

Durham have won their match, and gone top of the league.

All they need now to confirm that they are Champions is for Notts not to win.
Which looks extremely unlikely, they have just been set a target of over 400.
