Glad to see them scoring and keeping Sir Richard out.

At least Brown performances will mean no one will sign him anyway.

According to the commentary on Poolsworld they both had chances to score. Tony Cottee was covering the game on sky for uncle Jeff and he said much the same. TC said there was a lack of belief and that we offered very little threat in the final third, although we worked hard.

Brown and Porter will ALWAYS score goals home or away but we must start to believe we can get forward and attack when away from home just like we do at the Vic. And that starts from the back but the back four can not keep soaking up the pressure for the full 90 mins.

What they have to ask themself is what are they doing different away from home than at home?

Just my view like stpid

in fact he played the full 90 then and another 20 odd minutes today.
Agreed Chip but Porter and Jb were the chosen 2 by some and they are not scoring...

To be fair to me it seems a case of not getting the final through pass right. We'll prat around with it in the final third but rarely create a good chance for a striker to score from.

It's very easy for a striker who is making good runs to get frustrated at the ball not being played to him and start making bad runs just to go get the ball.

I believe it's a lack of creativity in midfield problem.

The 1st problem that needs to get sorted is McCunnie is NOT a midfield player. we have played our best stuff when he has either been at right back, or on the bench. Until Wilson and Mcunnie realise this, we will always struggle when McCunnie plays in the midfield. rage rage rage

This 'barron spell' confuses me. Two games ago (that they've played together) they were outstanding against Premiership opposition. If they play like that together once every three games this spell can continue all season if you ask me.

Before saturday their last game together was Peterbrough, and before that West Brom? So they have failed once then? Oh yes, thats a crisis of epic proportions if ever there was a crisis. stpid

even i have bought into this theory kev.

i took me a while to see it, but you were right and i was wrong.

It is noticeable that the 4 games we have lost this season we failed to score in, and the 4 we won we've scored (at an average of 3 goals a game), Kev's theory could well be right.

Are you saying, as I have said, that it really doesn't matter who scores them, how and from where?? But at the other end keep it as tight as a rectum in a prison shower??
