Kevin Kyle could leave Coventry City for Hartlepool

Sep 10 2008 By Andy Turner

KEVIN KYLE could be on his way back to the North East after Hartlepool made inquiries about a loan deal for the Coventry City misfit.

The Sky Blues striker does not feature in manager Chris Coleman's plans and the club are eager to get him off the wage bill.

However, it is questionable whether Hartlepool could afford to pay all of his wages.

The former Sunderland player has had an unhappy time at Coventry City, and has not proved popular with many sky blues fans.

He has a young son who lives in the area and a move back there would appear to suit his personal circumstances - if not his footballing ambitions as he would drop down to League One.

Big things were expected of him but he had a bad back injury I think, which almost forced him to pack in the game a few years ago.

At least we wouldn't need to bolster the midfield if he came here, we would just miss it out. :uhoh:

I hope we dont get him, waste of a loan signing imo.

we will score goals with the strikers we have at the club if the team is improved in other areas, we are unbalanced and signing Kyle would have us playing the long ball game again and wouldn't improve the defence which seems to be where we are struggling.

I'm pretty sure he turned us down as a loan signing for the Darlo doils down the road a few years back.
