And replace him with whom?

Sturrock? No chance. He's not going to come to Hartlepool and neither is any other decent manager because it's a poison chalice and our reputation would be again dented by the revolving door policy some of the fans seem to want.

Wilson inherited a poor bunch of players with an even worse attitude. It's going to take at least a season to change things especially with him being handicapped by the amount of players on big contracts. From yesterdays team of Konstantopoulos, Barron, Nelson, Clark, Humphreys, Foley, Liddle, Boland, Robson, Daly, Duffy, Bullock, Gibb and Williams. I'd drop everyone apart from the back four along with Foley, Duffy and Liddle.

Oh, and ban football boots that are anything other than black. It's a pointer towards the attitude. Farking white and silver, whats all that about?

I know some people point towards the subs and they did look odd but do we know the full facts? Was Duffy knackered? Was Daly capable of scoring? Williams E is not a forward anymore and we don't have any others. The team weren't performing and never looked like scoring apparently so why not chance your arm? if it had worked he would have been a tactical genius but it didn't so now he's a twat.

I don't know about the colour but they certainly need studs in them the amount of players slipping over yesterday was laughable

Top notch Mr I!

If we can start putting 1 or 2 in the net, Then we dont have to worry, Granted yesterday was dreadful, Because we lost to a team that were dreadful! But whats that say about us banghead ?

Who would want to come to Pools? Is it the right time to bring in another un tried & tested manager? I dont think it is, But I do think an ex player for us would bring back a bit of passion that the team seems to lack

Hey, I'm not averse to getting shot of a bad manager, I was saying Scott out back in September of last year but this is different. Wilson took over a dire situation and he is not Harry Potter. He can only do so much preparation then its down to the players. Pretty much the same players as got us relegated.

Sacking Wilson is not an option for various reasons. Firstly he has not had a fair crack of the whip. He's been here for a very short time and it took 18 months to get us here and some people expect him to turn up, wave a wand and everones happy again. Look at the facts: he took over a dressing room that was full of strife, a load of overpaid and underperforming players, a squad that was either not good enough or think they're too good when the truth is that they are not good enough for this league in all sorts of ways. I'm not talking about technical ability of course but they lack bottle or interest.

I'm sure its a co-incidence by the way, that we have only performed while RH was in Stoke.

Ken Hodcroft will not sack Wilson in the forseeable because not only is it knee jerk reaction management, it also looks very bad on him to keep handing out P45's.

Finally, if Wilson was sacked who the farking hell would want the job?

We haven't got a season to take, if we get relegated , we go out of the league this time, there's no division below us, there's no re-election, just THE BIG DROP !!!!!!

lets not gloss over yesterday. we played a team without all 4 of their recognised strikers, and who were actually struggling to find enough players to fill the bench. how many clear cut chances did we create, and how many decent saves did they keeper actually have to make ? we had loads of possession and did very little with it. the substitutions were a joke.

Actually we hit the bar several times, scored twice & had them disallowed, were denied at least one penalty & forced at least 2 good saves from their keeper that I can remember - we didn't play badly. My problem with yesterday is we capitulated towards the end & I found the substiutions bizarre in the extreme, why bring a winger on & move a player who is all of 5'4" in the centre?

"Wilson inherited a poor bunch of players with an even worse attitude."

I'm sure Danny Wilson was well aware of the players he was taking on when he applied & got the job. He was also probably aware of the transfer embargo and length of players contracts. Surely he would have made some kind of presentation to the board at his interview along the lines of his plans and would have set some goals ('scuse the pun) of where we would be after so many games. If he doesn't measure up to his plans IOR need to take action. Me personally, I'd go for Nigel Clough, he hasn't won anything but has consistently done well for Burton on a relatively small budget.

Oh, and I agree with Mr. I about the boots.

I think I ALREADY knew how it felt before IOR, Mr Snowy, I've been going since 1973 and I've experienced enough re-elections and waiting for the outcomes to know just how scary it is, not knowing whether your still going to be a League club, this time if we end up in the bottom 2 we haven't even got that 2nd chance of re-election, we JUST GO OUT, its as simple as that, no messing, just out of the league.
I think a few people don't realise just how serious this is banghead

Please nooo!
Dont bring back the Nigel Clough suggestions.
Every time I look at the table his team are midtable, never challenging.
I cant understand, from a football point of view, how people keep mentioning his name.
Again...if his name wasnt Clough would people ever consider him?
No

We are not going down this season simply because there are enough teams consistantly bad that they will finish below us. Also I think Danny Wilson will turn it round but not any time in the next couple of months.

another myth
and if you dont believe me ask the man you feted as being ROCKY

yes there was trouble in the dressing room
all of the manager's at the time making
apart from the dressing room DONS that ruled the roost over everyone
any dressing room in football will have and still have senior players that will speak up in defence of their team mates or against a manager that they think is getting it wrong
Scott was getting it wrong
the players did speak out
scott did not like it as he knew best
we all knew what the players knew but believe me there was no phantom punch it just did not happen
so this so called mafia theory you have is B*****
and you know it and you can't prove other wise

WILSON KEEPS PLAYING BULLOCK AND GIBB, DOES THIS NOT SERIOUSLY WORRY YOU LOT?

Bullock I agree with, he's never had a decent game for us Gibb has only been here a matter of weeks don't you think he deserves at least a bit of time to settle in? If these players were worldbeaters they would not be joining a fourth division side.

In a roundabout way, yes

I would never claim to be the model of sanity myself (check the user name  ). But, in this case if no others, I at least have the unusual advantage of being right

Sorry I would suggest you are usually right, but in this case are wrong.

I saw Gibb knock the ball past the full back and try to get a cross over

It was when we were 1.0 down -the cross got blocked-not bad for his 1st attempt rolfl rolfl rolfl
