Oasis' Noel Gallagher was attacked by a fan at the V Festival at Toronto Island Park last night (September 7).

While the band were playing 'Morning Glory', midway through the band's headline set at the festival, a fan rushed the stage from the side viewing area and attempted to attack the guitarist.

Globeandmail.com reports that the intruder was apprehended by security guards and later charged with assault.

The attack resulted in a brief interlude in Oasis' set, before they returned to play six further songs including 'Don't Look back In Anger', 'Wonderwall', and their set-closing cover of The Beatles' 'I Am The Walrus'.

They're not a bad live band like, if a bit ploddy, but they can carry it off. I just wouldn't buy their stuff and I never paid to see them. Sorry Noel. :roll:

Yeah it is funny.

How can anyone find that funny?
It does not matter who the fook it is, that is a man being pushed off a stage unexpectedly.
He could have been seriously hurt.

As for all you anti-oasis lot... does it not show his love for music that he got back on stage and carried on after that?
I personally cant wait to see them next month.
Great band.

Not about to put these in the same bracket as oasis, but, regarding people's dislike for other people...

I cannot and will not argue a case for babyshambles' frontman Pete Doherty but his music is amazing.
Oasis get so much shiite for mouthing off, but you have to look past the personality to look at the music.

The first one. I don't like them. I despise their mind blowing level of arrogance and as for their music; in truth, it just sounds like a tuneless whine to me.
