For those who don't know, this pub is actually in Groby, leave the M1 at junction 22 and turn left towards Leicester.

I think you're being a little economical with the truth there, you can do the journey for less than half that if you buy the tickets in advance.
No one should pay the £67 fare if they're travelling on a Saturday, it only costs that much if you travel before 9AM on a weekday.

The standard saver fare is £50.30, which is valid on any train on Saturday.

It works out cheaper if you split the journey at Manchester.
Blackpool to Manchester is £12.70, and Manchester to Leicester is £35.60, total fare £48.30

If you buy your tickets in advance you can do Blackpool-Manchester for £10.50, and Manchester to Leicester for £22, total fare £32.50, less than half what you quoted.

It's not on the road to Leicester (A50) though, and so it's easy to miss.
When you get to the junction with the A46 (about 3 miles after leaving the M1), take the third exit, signposted Groby - but don't follow the road into Groby, turn immediately left, then first right, follow the road to the right, then take the first road on the right.

Groby is pronounced to rhyme with 'ruby', by the way.
