Pools never ever, and to reiterate that's never, get an even hand from officials at big grounds in front of big crowds. That's as good as a goal start to them. We always have to beat two linos and a ref, as well as the other team at these places.

Nice one, i'll be going if they are dropping prices down to 250k like! Bargain.

This is my chance to get a few Hull supporters to defect from being a Tiger to being a Monkey Hanger!

"That's a great draw for us," Wilson commented.

I cant beleive you are saying its a crap draw......
A) They get top flight attendances.
B) We will make money off the gate.
C)They are no better than us, the league positioning doesnt lie!

Stop whining and prepare for your trip to leeds!!!

Listen for the attendance....lets hope its over 26,000 again!

ignore the fact that you live nearby you selfish get, and tell me upon what basis its a great draw given we are away from home and that of the other 11 teams left in there were liverpool, man utd, newcastle, villa, spurs, sunderland, the boro etc .

if we had got liverpool, the mags or man utd it would possibly have been televised. the revenue from that would dwarf anything we will get from the leeds game.

Whinge whinge whinge

I'd rather have a big gate off the third round with a good chance of getting past a poor-performing 'big club' to get an even bigger tie in the fourth round than getting knocke out by someone like Charlton and the like.

You can't change anything. It's a close game for people unable to travel further during the week and we could win it. Stop complaining man

Aye they do, but you were having a go at a Poolie who lives in Yorkshire. By all means have a go at any Yorkshireman you like but expect retaliation when you have a go at a Poolie. stelling summed it up perfectly.

Tell me who has suggested the draw is better than the clubs you have mentioned. Of course we all would like the likes of Man Utd, but we didn't get them. Nobody has argued against stelling's comments.
That is no excuse for your comments to Matty.

i think if you read the whole thread, assuming your attention span is up to it, you will see he had a go at me first, and i was simply having a go back.

not that its got sweet f.a. to do with you like, you patronising dullard. its no wonder folk assume you are superwatty.

Ah so if someone insults you then it is ok to retaliate. Seeing that you have seen fit to insult me then, according to your philosophy, I have the right to respond.
Let's start with losers. You are continuously telling us all how much of a loser you are. Your earning power is such that you are living continuously on a hand to mouth basis. Well that's what you keep telling us. Instead of wasting your time spouting crap on here why don't you try earning more income with the obvious time at your disposal?
Before you reply to this post, just remember who started the name calling and insinuations. I actually think you are superwatty and fit the title of patronising dullard to an exquisite T.

Doesn't it rather show the stage of the game when people are disappointed with going to Elland Road to see Pools in a third round cup tie??

I know they aren't what they were, but they were what they were if you catch my drift. Despite any cynicism I'd still rate it a big game, and we certainly owe them one from last season, and have every chance of pulling it off (ooo-errr, before anyone says it) on current form. They haven't got the chip (no pun intended) on their shoulder from last season and they broke up the Kandol/Beckford strike partnership that scored pots full of goals last year. By comparison they aren't pulling any trees up so far this season.

I think losing Poyet from their coaching staff has hit them hard. Wise is/was a clueless barrow boy, who needed to rely on others to put him in a good light - as a side thought, what exactly is he doing at Wankcastle these days??
Anyway, I'm not sure McAllister has got what it takes to manage them in a league like this, if they hit a bad spell of results. There'll be no hiding place and probably not much slack given to him in that job if it happens.
They certainly don't have that sense of injustice this time around to carry them through lots of games they were clearly second best in, yet managed to seemingly win them all - that level of fight just won't be there this time (I have to admit I admired them for that last season, there can't have been a team in the country which sustained that level of effort for 90 minutes in every single game).
They'll be a better footballing outfit to watch without a doubt, but I think that will only serve to make them more like all the other sides in League One - and man for man is their side of a much higher quality than everyone else? I don't think so.
The big advantage they are going to have again is big club syndrome in League One - getting more than their fair share of decisions, especially at home.

Not so my financially challenged friend. I agree with Talbot's assessment of Mr Warnock. Mr W is another prize specimen of people who think they know more about football than the rest of us.
I agree in general about the attitude of Yorkshiremen, although some are all right. I have done ok in Yorkshire as it is so easy competing with them. Whilst they are thinking of how important they are and how they perform at a reasonable level, us Poolies take their brass ( Yorkshire speak ).
The best thing to come out of Yorkshire is the A19 into Durham. therethere

I'm in total agreement with this - I'm being pursued by such very people right now. They have no idea what being human is all about. Money before people - fuck'em all.
It's not like I did it on purpose or went on fantastic holidays around the world with the money I'm getting pursued for - me and the wife worked bloody hard for almost 3 years only to get financially raped and pursued relentlessly by faceless no-marks, who aren't worth one millionth of what I know me and the wife are worth as people.
One good thing that's come out of it, is that it has made me stop and reflect on things a hell of a lot more - and re-evaluate what's important in life, and it ain't chasing after money. I'm happy to have enough to get by - something like Mr I's holiday to Ghana should be what a lot of these people should experience. Even if it doesn't ultimately change them, even if it just stirs some little ounce of humanity in them it would be a worthwhile exercise

So the comment was light hearted and aimed at the people who live in Yorkshire who still think Leeds and Sheff Wed are big clubs???????. So can you point out who, on the bunker, comes under this category?
As for your comment Mr I, nobody is accusing him of attacking every Yorkshireman. Are you also going to point out to Chip that Mattyrobsonschin didn't big up Leeds or Sheff Wed. Or perhaps all the Mods are holding hands here?????? Can you also point out that nobody suggested that they wanted Leeds instead of the real big clubs, as Chip tried to suggest. All one or two have said is that they consider it a good draw. For the record I wasn't jumping for joy over it either.
Chip, on your comment about money. I also think that money isn't everything and you can't put a price on the bonding with your children. However it is you who continuously bombards us with your money problems, so it clearly is an issue with you.
I will repeat again that your comments to Matty were uncalled for. We shall just have to agree to disagree, but I must point out that every time you deride a fellow Poolie you leave yourself open to retaliation.
Oh and every comment I make is also light hearted. therethere
