It's a good draw in financial terms.

It's a good draw in terms of being easy to travel to.

It's a good draw in terms of Leeds being beatable if we play even remotely well. A much easier task than West Brom was.

But I still can't think of a worse draw.

I can't believe we have to go again to that depressing dump populated by violent scumbags with the most over-inflated view of their own importance in football anywhere in the world.

I had no feelings either positive or negative towards Leeds and their fans until last season.

But to know them is to despise them.

No big team has ever come down with such bad grace (or such indulgent self-pity). Contrast Nottingham Forest (real 'Champions of Europe') who are a great club, with good support where the awayday can be enjoyed and who just got on with the business of rebuilding and getting promoted.

Away at Elland Road last year outside the stadium was awful. I haven't seen as nasty, malevolent, violent a set of fans since Swansea away in the early nineties.

I was so torn watching the play-off between wanting Leeds to win simply so we never have to go there again and being desparate for Donny to win because Leeds are so loathsome. In the end loathing for Leeds won easily. I watched the game in Richmond in a pub with 30-40 plastic Leeds fans. I expressed my delight when Donny scored - and guess what - I was threatened and a horrible simmering atmosphere began. Even the plastic fans who can't be bothered to go are violent and thick.

It'll be a horrible day but it will be a decent payday and just imagine if we turn last year's moral victory into a real one! Ican only think of one team I'd rather watch Pools beat

Not too bothered about the draw as I'll be on me jollies!! :coool:
Would have been gutted if we'd got a 'big club' though!! rolfl

so let me run this one again - you have no desire to buy a season ticket for Leeds at any time in the forseeable future?

Pity we didn't get a big team ... just another established div 1 team

we where set upon numerous times during the day yesterday, the worst part is getting on the bus back to town with leeds fans, they all start to sing 'stand up for the super leeds' to pick out the away fans.

my experience of elland road last season was almost identical. abused as we walked to the ground, threatened as we walked away from it. and after the violence in the pub before the game last year can only see it being worse for a night match.

not looking forward to it at all. sadx

Im sorry mate but i COMPLETELY disagree!!!!!

I shared a bus with 70+ leeds fans from the station (double decker) and didnt get a word said to me at all & i was wearing my pools shirt for all to see. After the game i stood otside waiting for my bro to pick me up and go the pub in central Leeds and all i got from Leeds fans was "great game mate, should be proud of them" & "that shirt reminds me of Porto" nowt else, just pleasentaries from them!

But will it be the same this year, now Denise Wise has gone the siege mentality of the first six months of last season has evaporated.

The -15 point galvanised them last season, they don't have that anymore, they are playing on a level playing field and already Elland Road has lost it's fortress tag with Oldham winning there and Bristol Rovers unlucky to only get a point.

I wouldn't have any faith in Gary McAllister, he looks and talks like a wet weekend in Bognor.
