ALB 7; Apart for a couple of heart stopping moments like the cross first half and the fumble second half he did well, I would still like him to come off his line more but he has improved.

McCunnie 8; An excellent first game of the season. With Boland out he's surely cemented his place at right back?

Humphreys 8; How fit is the lad? He didn't fade at all, good tactics from Wilson to bring Matty on when they brought the flying machine to hug the right touch line.

Collins 9;Superb, he distribution is actually very good as well for a centre back. Great leader.

Nelson 8; After a shaky start (it was a clear penalty) he was excellent. Getting back to his best form.

Sweeney 7; Worked him nuts off did brilliant for the second goal, can do a good job for us the left.

Jones 9*; He thought he was immense and just got better and better as the game went on, he cut out so many balls and rarely wasted it himself. Looked like a good player in his proper position.

Liddle 8; Excellent, he must have read my concerns after Saturday Brilliant for the first goal and a great engine.

Monkhouse 7; Did his job well but didn't into the game as much as you'd hope. Has to step up his game after Robson's performance.

Porter 9; Class. Worked his socks off and was too clever for the Chuckle Brothers (Meite and Barnett) at the back for West Brom. Should have played at a higher level during his time in this country but I'm glad he's stayed here.

Brown 8; If the scouts were watching last night he was a little bit too good for my liking. He should have layed Porter in when he shot after a typical bit of trickery second half, he'd be getting a 9 otherwise. A couple of brilliant crosses and like Porter ran himself into the ground and the Chuckle Brothers ragged.

Subs;

Robson 8; Superb performance. The best I've seen him play.

Foley 8; See Robson.

Barker 7; Did great, held it up well put his body on the line and worked his nuts off.

Finally;

The backroom staff who have got us so fit- 10. West Brom actually gave up in the second period of extra time when we were STILL closing them down and showing no signs of tiring. We where actually in better shape than a Premiership side.

We had our bits of luck like the blatant Pen they didn't get first half but you need them to beat a Premiership side. We were excellent and throughly deserved the win though.
