I caught glimpses of the 'cycling' from the velodrome, it was just so worryingly mechanical, like watching a Scalectrix, almost robotic in its function. It's a sport they say, but how many fans turn up to watch it week in week out, not many I'd imagine. In the interview afterwards, a woman described the level of fussy detail that incorporated everything from technology to sports psychologists at a cost of many millions invested into the 'sport'. Don't get me wrong, i have nothing against a good old traditional bike race in the mould of the Tour de France, but the other stuff is pure adrenalin for the sort of obsessive who could bore the paint off a Boeing 737 if he starts talking about his 'sport'............... and don't get me going about fooking BMXing...........
