Could not find out what time game started today due to the bunker being off last night.
Was not sure of where the game was happening or the time.
Sorry

That is a wicked insinuation....supporting the Bunkerites was our first priority (unlike most of the rest of the Board!)

It was a grand game played in dreadful conditions. Well done, Team!

I will be making a decision about my retirement on return from the hospital.

Did you break anything? We saw you go down under a pile of bodies and then reappear festooned with mud

I think it is just a calf strain, but walking on it is still painful.

A torn gastrocnemius muscle (calf to you and me) was the verdict. Plenty of RICE* and painkillers is the solution. My retirement from 11-a-side was assured by the look the nurse gave me when I told her how I did it. No more 5-a-side until I'm pain free.

it was a sad day for football as we knew it jim
the conditions were awful and favoured those with a greater centre of gravity [fat n heavy]and was a great leveler to the advantage of the buker team
the kids did really well under extreme provacation and any meaningfull skill came from the younger side
there was one instance when the nuber three left the bunker left back for dead with a move james brown would have been proud of
if the full back had any speed he would have made it to the ref to complain before the game moved on but the ref was reading his watch back to front anyway
they say in football it is always the legs that go before the head well having watched that a few heads will be telling them to pack it in now
the old phrase "the spirit is willing but the fleash is weak was more than apt for this ocaision
look forward to the replay on a dry course

"A medial calf injury is often seen in the intermittently active athlete, often referred to as the "weekend warrior""

"Medial calf injuries occur more commonly in men than in women, and these injuries usually afflict athletes and others in the fourth to sixth decade of life."

Should have seen it coming really. rolfl

I asked Jonny later in the day what happened after I hit the ground, how come they didn't score? He replied that he had booted it clear, to which Chip observed "Glad to see you got your priorities right".

Of course he booted it away, after all I wasn't going anywhere, he could check how I was after the ball had been cleared. clappp
