"Basically, the budget at Darlington had been slashed by half and they took me into the office to tell me they couldn't keep me because they hadn't got the funds," explained Joachim.

"They talked to me about their situation; I talked to them about my situation and it was best for both parties that I got out. I knew King's Lynn were interested and the club is in an ideal location as it's near home in Boston."

If they can't afford to keep last year's budget, do they still intend to go up or are they saying Penney should be able to get them promoted on half of what they thought it would take last season?
If they had been promoted,, the budget would have had to be increased. Is George beginning to realise he is making a mistake?

I bet they were bewildered - not the typical fare for Top of the Pops.

A long way back we supported SAHB - it was usual to borrow equipment from the main band - they borrowed ours! It was during the Vambo Rules tour. They put on a great live show.

Proof that Glasgow really can produce exceptional talent.

Fratellis? Del Amitri? You're 'avin' a giraffe. Utter lightweight tosh.

(I love the way we've hijacked this thread   )

I used to play in a band called 'Wooden Lion', we're now called 'That Legendary Wooden Lion' that's what age does. :uhoh:
Here are a couple of links I play synths & am known as Cardinal Biggles after the Monty Python character in the Spanish Inquisition sketch. :uhoh:
