The draw is split into 4 regional groups of 12, with 4 from each region receiving byes into the 2nd round.

The teams that have received byes into the 2nd round of the Johnstones Paint Trophy are :

Bury, Rochdale, Chester City & Carlisle United

North East Section :

Huddersfield Town, Rotherham United, Darlington & Lincoln City

South West Section :

Walsall, Hereford United, Wycombe Wanderers & Cheltenham Town

South East Section :

Peterborough United, Gillingham, MK Dons & Luton Town

The draw for the first round, which will contain the remaining 32 teams, takes place on Saturday 16th August on Sky's football AM show.

this is getting beyond a joke. Didn't they get some sort of lucky loser and get back into the 3rd round of the Cup, the year Wankshitster United opted out to play in some crap tournament?

Can't they have 'turns' as to who gets a bye? So teams who had a bye last season don't get one this season?
