Its possible that two tams could be releagted by February.

In that case the few teams above the drop could just give up on the season. Get rid of most of their players......see the season out with kids, save shedloads of money.......to stop any threat of them going into admin.......meaning any team still to play them would have many easy three point games.

This must come as a great relief to our friends on the A66 ...

The Guardian today has darlow as red hot favourites for promotion! "However, darlow, 9-1 (general) to win the league are a better bet [than the Shrews] to go up. Dave Penney has bought well and, having narrowly missed out last year the Quakers are a fair price 5-2 to be promoted."

I'm wondering if I've missed something because this sounds like nonsense to me?

And, is losing a play off semi "narrowly missing out"?

Like I said......its a farce.

And if teams ,do , as you state ADG get rid of their players save shed loads of money to stop any threat of going into administration, then they have actually, in my opinion, run their club correctly not overspent on players to achieve a quick success but decided that they need to make savings so the club can carry on existing.

SO WHAT EXACTLY IS WRONG WITH THAT.

The fans were quite happy to have a big belly laugh when they ripped us off for promotion.

Feck 'em too.

Shedding players is not as easy as it sounds. It depends on the terms of their contracts.
If it was as easy as that, would we still have Budtz???? confised

I do feel sorry for the fans. It's not because there are one or two arseholes who take the piss that the great majority should suffer. Next you'll be telling me we don't have any arseholes at Pools.

But I think there's progress in the way the FL are starting to show their mettle. "Manage badly or break the rules at your peril".

Shame the premiershite thing is excluded.

A typical bunker thread, it begins on two other teams, and yet someone still manages to have ago at Wilson. Before a ball is kicked in anger. banghead banghead banghead banghead banghead banghead banghead

I have noticed that Mr Elvis has stated on more than a few threads that the Loids will struggle financially this season. Is this based on some insider knowledge or just wishful thinking?.

Also can you please tell me how the name Lampies has come about?.

On the points deduction front Rotherham have got what they deserve IMO, Luton have been hammered and for a former big team I was a bit shocked by the punishment. My concern is for Bournemouth who I have always liked as a team and add to the fact my wife comes from Dorset and supported the Cherries until we moved up here.

ADG, I dont care one way or the other what your opinion of Wilson is, everyone is entitled to an opinion. And as it's an opinion you cant be wrong. Dictionary definition........

"a personal belief or judgment that is not founded on proof or certainty"

My point regarding your post on Wilson is that the original point of this was the points deduction(s) awarded to Rotherham and Bournemouth. I have no problem reading posts against Wilson but at least keep to threads about that subject, that way i will at least know which posts to avoid.

Why don't they just rip out the goal posts in the fourth division and replace them with jumpers.

An absolute farce, I'm just glad it's not affecting our league this season. This massive points deduction thing is an absolute joke and it's spoiling the greatest football pyramid in the world.

It was quite funny when it was Leeds, but it's with them the ridiculous precedent was set.

Yes, it's insider knowledge. I know everything about Darlington's financial struggles, and will make further smug announcements in the coming weeks.

The name Lampies comes from their current Chairman George "Nice Bloke" Houghton, who in a blaze of publicity which I can't believe ANYONE missed, signed up former CBeebies flops "The Lampies" to promote his club. Nothing has been heard or seen since, like.....maybe because The Lampies are simply not very popular with kids (believe me, I have 2 who were CBeebies daft, and even they only had a passing knowledge of this very low-key show..it ain't The Tweenies or Bob The Builder!) ?

Paul Robinson's signing should ensure they are promoted this season.

Keep up your good work checking on the Lampies rolfl
