Anybody who went last night like to comment on Billingham's pitch?

I've not seen it since we spent 100k on it last summer, I was suprised when the Forest reserve game was called off at the end of last season because the six yard boxes were unplayable.

What did it look like last night, money well spent?

BP agreed that it looked pretty good too - considering the amount of rain that was falling onto it.

Now technically the process isn't relaying, the top surface is removed and reseeded. This is why out pitch doesn't 'cut up' like a lot of the premiership pitches.

Due to not getting enough light in to grow seed they lay turf, which then doesn't have time to become established enough to take a football boot and therefore cuts up.

The initial outlay for us goes all on the irrigation and preparation side of things, when Premier pitches first did our surface they said they fitted more drains in our pitch than any other they'd ever done! Something like 8 inches a part I think they said.

Did we relay or own pitch this year because I saw no mention of it?
