Now usually I'd be slagging this money grabbing bastard off, but actually I think I'm starting to admire him.

He seems to have a canny knack of finding easy ways to line his own pockets. I wish I could find companies willing to pay me crazy wages and signing on fees every 12 to 18 months.

Malpas eyes Bristol City's Betsy

Swindon Town boss Maurice Malpas has confirmed he is trying to sign out-of-favour Bristol City winger Kevin Betsy.

The 30-year-old is available on a free transfer but Malpas says the move may depend on Betsy agreeing a pay off from the Ashton Gate side.

He's a footballer limited in talents, yet he will have made some coin out of the game that most at his level wont have.

Either got a smart head on him or a good agent.

It's got to be the agent, probably the same one who represents Jermaine Easter!

we've had our share of those. Chip said it the other day - how much longer can 3rd/4th division clubs keep paying silly money to these run-of-the-mill jokers??? No wonder they're all going into admin and getting points deducted - it serves them right.
Huddersfield seem to be spending a lot again - 10 years after their last escapade of going into admin, trying to get into the Prem when Steve Bruce was boss etc etc - do they never learn?

Lower League Journeyman, Mr Average, nothing special about him at all. He's the sort of player that ends up at Darlington for a last pay day.

we would of signed him if we'd had the money though?

I think most of us wanted to keep him! But since we couldn't, he's a crap player. Bunker rules.

Betsy was OK, great turn of speed and a bit tricky but like Thomas Butler it all fizzled out round the area.

Well I thought Betsy was a good player for us during his loan spell and at the time he would of been a good signing. He got offered more money else where and hasn't really produced since. In the same situation he was in most people would go where the money was. Tommy Butler was also a very skillful player, he just happened to be in a team with the likes of Proctor, Llewellyn and Eifion Williams who at the time were at best good Division Four players not league one players......

I know the bloke who sold him his house in Wycombe. Apparently he was obsessed with getting the garden shed as part of the purchase. And his bewer was very tidy too.

Mr Betsy has decided that roundabout in Swindon is just not his sort of thing, so he's signed for Southend instead, loves ice creams and candy floss.

he'll be great for the first 2 months, he won't even be in their team at the end of the season. Attitude like Stan Collymore - total waste of space and players like that tend to be bad for team morale
