It's closed!!!! confised

Went their earlier with our lass and the LightningTrees for a bit of scran!!!! :grin:

Got there at 5.40pm and all the Pubs....the 3 of them....were shut....closed 3.00pm till 6.00pm!!!! confised

I actually thought we'd been transported back in time to old Pub opening hours!!!! confised

When it finally opened at 6pm we went into the Smiths Arms for food....mine was shite!!!! banghead

I had Fish and Chips....but they had no peas....it was served with Vegetables....Carrots, Cauliflower and Brocolli....which were all rock hard!!!! :evil:

Imagine serving Fish and Chips with that lot!?!? :roll:

AND....no bread and butter!!!! banghead

A fecking disgrace!!!! :evil:

Plus the Chips were a mixture of homemade and frozen!!!! :evil:

Never again!!!! banghead

I was last in there at Tea-Time about 2 years ago....it was bouncing and the Food was excellent!!!! confised

Plus....outside in a menu display case it said for the Steaks 'Buy 1 Get the 2nd at half price'!!!! :grin:

Our lass asked for that for me and her....'We don't do that anymore....we stopped doing it in March'!!!! banghead

So then I looked at the prices for a single Sirloin on the menu on the table....£10.95....then I see another price list on the wall in chalk....£14.95!!!! banghead

Like I said....never again!!!! :evil:

We were in there for nearly 2 hours and I think in that time it had 3 more customers!!!! confised

Now the reason could be the food....but with the other Pubs closing earlier I think it's more likely to be the Smoking Ban and the cheap Beer at the Supermarkets!!!! confised

I envisage....Greatham once with 3 thriving Pubs not long ago....having none at all very soon!!!! confised

I never realised how shite English grub was before living in France.

I know it CAN be good, but by default it's absolutely fookin' dire. Muttley's experience is all too common.
