why do we have to shift a keeper out to make room on the wage bill? Ship an outfield player out instead!!!! Keeper required urgently!!!

I think the sooner people get it into their heads that Dimi will not come back to Pools the better.

He'll be on a far better wage and one Pools cannot compete with banghead banghead

You got more chance of seeing Stephen Halliday in a Pools shirt again rolfl rolfl bbolt

Dimi at Pools would have been on £500/600 a week tops

Dimi at Cov you would think £3000 a week if his agent is any good at all.

Would the big Greek sacrifice another year(2 years?) at £150k a year to play first team football- don't be silly.

You could pay the wages of both keepers, Foley, Robson and have £1000 a week left over to spend on wages each week for the price of the big greek. Forget him.

I really don't get the derogatory way George Wood is being referred to. When Dimi arrived he looked very poor - but potential had been spotted. It took 12-18 months to mould him into a brilliant keeper. All this done by G.Wood.

Wood was then told to find two keepers cheap, in a couple of months. Buddtz initially looked up to the job- if you've forgotten that go back and read the posts and ratings for his first games. His confidence was destroyed by the appalling circus defending in front of him - with one of our all time greats, Nelson, as guilty as anyone else.

Dino Zoff in his pomp couldn't have kept a clean sheet behind the Nelson/Antwi show!

ALB on the other hand looks good to me.

Both keepers have now had a full year working with George Wood - if they come on in the way Dimi did then it won't be the keeping that will be the problem.

Though obviously now minds have been made up it wouldn't matter if Jan kept like Lev Yashin, he is finished now anyway.

As for better keepers than Dimi: Provett in his great year before the fatal POTY award. Possibly Martin Hodge if you forgive his debut.

500-600 a week?

I think it would be a damn sight more than that, maybe his first contract yes.

I disagree hugely. It was obvious to me even after his first game that he was gash. If you don't believe me then go back and read my posts and ratings of him in those first games.

ALB looks good to me too. I really honestly believe that with a run in the team he could turn out to be a very competent goalkeeper at this level.

I also agree, With games and a couple of dare I say...... CLEAN SHEETS ALB will be a good keeper for us, He just needs to stop those rushes of blood to the head and coming out for a ball that quite rightly is not the keepers

I think someone put his mistake at Brighton on YouTube of which the ref bailed him out, Take those mistakes out of his game and I reckon we have a reasonable keeper for us

My concern with him, Is if he does lose confidence we are well and truely in trouble in the keeping department

Err wasn't Mark Prudhoe the keeping coach for the first year or two Dimi was here? If anyone moulded him it was him!
