Old cockfingers was again not involved tonight, not a single minute in pre season so far which encourages me somewhat in to thinking we will sign another keeper.

Why has he got the number one jersey in the squad numbers though sctatchinghead

Confusing!

Injured - nothing more, nothing less. Something to do with a back problem.

It's broken on last seasons evidence.

FFS what is he still doing here, who on earth thinks he's good enough?

If we don't sort the goalkeeping situation we will struggle. It was one of the biggest fuck ups last year and if we go into next season with the same two keepers who aren't good enough it's a total disgrace.

Does George Wood rate these two? If that's the case I don't rate him.

I have it from a good source that he is signing for a certain league 2 club.

Could be made up

I now strongly believe that we have seen the last of Budtz as a keeper for us. I have no evidence to back that up, in that I dont have a source seeing he signing for a League two club, but on the fact that upto tonight we have played 4 games now ................. Barrett 135 mins (game and a half) Souter (Triallist keeper) the same. Tonight against the might of Consett a 19 year old played before him. Now I not been told he managed anytime tonight so that means so far Pools have played 4 games /360 minutes.

Budtz BIG FAT ZERO MINUTES ON PITCH.

The longest spell Budtz has gone without conceding a goal. rolfl rolfl rolfl

Im on nights Chessington,so unable to attend. I suppose 3 out of 4 so far isn't bad, and I did have to take a night shift off to attend Scotland.

And it only competitive matches that count.

Friendlies involving what amounts to the reserves dont count.

Though I dont expect to attend every competitive game this season.

By way Chessington, you in for night out in Liverpool on 16th August after Tranmere game. Tax paying Poolie already got the hotel sorted, give him a bell he may be able to sort you or at least tell you were we staying so you can join up.

i've always wanted to see pools play in scotland but have never managed it. There are lots of decent traditional grounds and Mortons looked great but WTF were they thinking, putting seats at the bottom of the bank of terracing on the side banghead

Much like last season, Fetish Bob has missed out on his 100% attempt before a competitive ball is kicked.

Shame really!

Tax paying Poolie I have Morton Falkirk Newcastle and a weekend ticket for the centenary tournament, which if my memory serves me right your not going to sctatchinghead meaning , just like Budtz who has a big fat zero minutes on the pitch, you have a big fat zero minutes of watching Pools so far this season.

Hopefully we have seen the last of Budtz but I also have major doubts over ALB. I'd rather see a new keeper (who is hopefully an improvement)...

Alright folks Stags fan here... Is this Budtz anygood then? Would he do well in the BSP? Reading through your comments on this thread it doesn't look too good! I'm not too sure why we have pulled out, we only have 6 senior players so far.

On a side note, how is Richie doing?

i think conference level budtz would probs be sound, might be a bit too much for him at league one.

he is tosh! nothing else to say about him. as ADG said, theres better keepers on a sunday who have better handling and control their box alot better.

you could have forgotten any chance of a quick return with him in nets. He's the worst keeper we've had in 15 years, no joke.

No chance of him coming here. We've already got three goalkeepers, we certainly don't need a fourth.
