I don't know why but the following story has boiled my piss.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/ar ... dding.html

Unfortunate that a kid is involved obviously but it's not really that, that bothers me. £250,000 wedding? £1,000,000 home? FFS this is Micheal Chopra a VERY average footballer not even of Premiership standard. The world has gone mad that these people earn such riches for very, very little. He is a decent Championship player at best, in his own head I'm sure he thinks he's made it, he has financially. He was an arrogant little scrote when he was at Barnsley on loan God knows what his ego is like now.

What motivation does he have to better himself? He's loaded already. No wonder England are shite.

So why are Brazilian, French, German and Italian footballers better?, I don't imagine they are on bobbins wages......

Its not just the money, its the booze and sex and bling culture in English football, its the fact our players are just very average

Thats why we will never win nadda

It would seem that most of the income is NOT Mr. Chopra's, so perhaps he's not the best example.

I don't think a player of Chopra's ability would earn anything near what he does here in any of those countries, he is not even a top flight standard player.
