if your with virgin media and you are using torrents, expect a letter from VM telling u about downloading pirated games/music etc, 3 strikes and they kill your internet and u wont get it back from them! my mate has had 2 letters, 1 more and he is knackered

Virgin are behind with this concept. KCOM have been doing this for years. Geezer who lives below got a fine and told 'if you continue to download illegal material your connection will be suspended' and his mrs works for KC!! Its right in a sense but for illegal downloaders like you lot its a bad thing innit.

Soulseek's working fine for me, although the shortcut on my desktop says Soulseek(2) so maybe it's a different version from what's been shut down?

its killing the music and gaming industry! best thing to do to be safe if you ARE an illegal downloader is to use newsgroups use a ssl encrypted newserver provider

I use this odd little site, called Napster (I think!) £10 per month, can use three different PC's at once, and have downloaded about forty albums since the turn of the year

well eventually I got a version of soulseek that worked, and now I'm enjoying the magnificent Penguin Eggs by Nic Jones and I did Mrs.S her daft party cd....still managed to throw some good stuff on it tho! :grin: :wink:
