... one of my lads gave me his redundant CD player, a Sony, he said it would be OK to use as a radio when I was working. So I did. At the beginning of April we were renewing the roof out the back, we went to pick up some panels and on the way back the heavens opened, when we got there the CD player was under Niagra, it was ringing wet. so it went on the rubble pile with all the other building debris and stood there for 6 weeks till it disappeared from the pile... Turns out the wife had taken it in, left it to dry and turned it on... it worked perfectly...when I showed my son he was surprised, he was even more surprised when I played a CD in it,.... he said the reason I got it was because the CD player didn't work  ....some rain, some CD player

And the moral of the story is, you never give Mrs Snowy half as much credit as she deserves

A what?

I don't even have a cd player never mind a table thing.

Ipod, speaker dock, job done! Very loud, good quality sound, good enough for my bedroom anyway
