Brown is a certainty when fit.
Clark is almost as nailed on.
Monkhouse will play as long as his attitude is right.
I don't think Joel Porter will see much of the first team this year.
Humphreys is now a squad player.

Err....pj, you wrote elsewhere on another thread in your team for next season, that Humphreys wouldn't be in your starting 11 sctatchinghead

So do you rate him?

Of course I rate him thats like saying you're only allowed to rate 11 players in any given squad, I fail to see given what he's given the club since he signed how anyone couldn't rate the bloke. That team I picked was a gut feeling, we all of sudden have a plethora of midfielders. I don't think Wilson would leave Liddle out of the team he'd accommodate him somewhere else for example left back.

i don't know why - but i am looking forward to next season. it seemed like last season finished in February. A new keeper would be nice as well as a full back or two but i wouldn't be surprised if Sweeney got a run at right back....

As some of you may know I'm not DW's biggest fan.

However, our two signings to date this summer have been young players who should have both a bit of talent and a hunger or desire to improve and succeeed.

Last season we all twisted about him signing old men, so maybe things are changing?

If we can get a pair of full backs and a forward (obviously of the right age and quality) to compliment our current squad I'll be pleased with the summer recruitment and be more optimistic going into next season.

Why do people always go on and on about Mr I not rating Humphreys?

He can rate who he likes, it's the same people everytime too!

Because its heresy. In fact I expect to be struck down by a thunderbolt from the gods at any moment. He's a 'crowd pleased' you see. A badge kisser who cries and people like that. Oh, he went to Buckingham Palace and nobody else has done that.

You are. Besides, I haven't attacked him, I've stated my opinion - yes again.

It's ok for people to go on and on about how god like a player is but don't you dare criticise or the 'bonny baby competition' voters will turn on you.

Now imagine if we did release Foley....the supporters from the club who might have signed him up could have been saying the same!!!!

Fair comment Mutley but this Jones lad has played in the Premier League and the Champions League. Foley on the other hand has played in League one and the Northern Premier.

Personally I think both will turn out to be decent signings but like I keep saying....I'm just not excited about the Season starting like I usually am!!!! confised confised

There's only 2 players that'll keep me going to watch Pools this coming season....

Monkhouse and Brown!!!!

Then again if that Shearer picture is still up I won't be going anyway....I'll be spending my pennies in the pub!!!!  banghead

It's about 5, but isn't that better than none at all?

It's actually none so it's exactly the same as none at all.

Ritchie Jones has the same Premiership and Champions League experience as myself. I just hope he's half as good.

Yes

And he has also had a loan spell at Antwerp, which most of man u's kids do.

All of this is a bt tedious anyway.

We can't judge him till we see him.

My mistake, he played for them in FA Cup and League Cup games and was a sub in the champions league. Nevertheless the point is still valid.

The fact is that he was thought good enough to be in Man United's first team squad. Yes they were probably blooding him and playing him in games where there was little at stake but so what? it proves that he was considered a real first team prospect. Now clearly he's missed out being a regular for them so where does that put him? The next level down? two levels down? Pools has done very well getting this lad, my guess is that its down to the Turner / Ferguson connection.

I wouldn't argue with any of that. The quotes from the Yeovil fans worry me a bit but if it pushes Willie Boland down the pecking order then I wish him all the best!

Don't let them. Remember how Danns and Betsy and Duffy suddely became shite when they signed for someone else?
