owt about volleyball

I have just been flicking through the tv channels and there is volleyball on one of the Sky Sports channels, I noticed that one team is wearing blue yet one of their players is wearing a red shirt, the other team are wearing wgite with one player wearing blue what is all that about then

Had the pleasure of going to a beach volleyball competition on Margate beach - felt compelled to buy a camera and take some pictures.

Luckily it was Buy One Get One Free.

They'll be processed and ready tomorrow.

Sussex, trust me I wouldn't put "down the road from the Gills" if I lived in Margate. You should try walking it.

It was organised by Thanet District Council apparantly (or so the MC kept repeating over the tannoy as he tried to attract people onto the beach to watch).

I remember a lot of middle-aged men watching the women's competition from along the seafront, but I can't understand why.

They are probably glad in Margate that that was arranged. There's nothing in Margate town centre but normal high-street shops that are derelict or closed down and loads of amusement arcades.

If it wasn't for a Women's Quarter Final that I watched from the FREE grandstand, I would have been home at 1pm - I didn't bring my swimming trunks - but I managed to convince myself to extend my visit until 3pm.

One of the girls I saw is looking at a place to represent Britain in Beijing in a few weeks time apparantly - as they kept repeating the phrase "Olympic sport" over the tannoy.

Not just for men to ogle over - yeah, right, what do they take us for ?

I'm sure some of the girls whilst not playing were wearing their skimpiest bikinis in order to attract attention on to the volleyball.

It makes you laugh, they say stay out of the shade between 11am and 3pm, but they didn't stop the competition during those hours just because of the heat. If they stopped, they wouldn't have finished the competition in time.

The MC kept repeating over the tannoy that the sand reflects the heat off the court making it at leat 1 degree hotter for the players whilst playing.

I tell you, may I be wonderfully sexist and misogynistic and say it was certainly hot from where I was sitting on Saturday.

Tell me kentish.......The women playing volleyball .. could you tell if they had brazilians or not
