Currently it is a essentially a holding page with a link to hte main board. My thoughts are that it should be a portal with stories, news, the league table etc

Anyone got suggestions on how we should do this? PHPBB portal or proper HTLM page?

I have no idea what you are on about but if we're going to have a new front page can we put a picture of a hammer and maybe some cable ties on there?

Without trying to praise Mr MadJohn a frontpage layout similar to that of inthemadcrowd would be pretty good, That sortta layout is a winner!

Theres quite a few good PHPBB Portal layout pages out there
That will run quite well with the forum technology

MXBB have a good portal layout, BUT at the moment there re-developing the idea, But keep an eye on the site : http://www.mx-system.com/
