That is the theme of the advert yes! Maybe a 'test the water' advert see how far they can go.

Give over

The advert, if you watch, implies the fact the 'fella' is a 'woman' the kids call him mum, its quite easy to follow

I don't know, but in the traditional New Yawk Deli, the bloke always tends to be like this

It's an advert FFS, no one will turn bummer because of it.............

AMV BBDO said that the concept behind the campaign is that the product tastes so good, "It's as if you have your own New York deli man in your kitchen."

If that's the case why do the kids refer to him as Mum and why does the dad have to go back and kiss him???? sctatchinghead sctatchinghead

Why not just have the Mam in place of the Dad rushing out to work???? sctatchinghead sctatchinghead

Crap advert anyway!!!! confised

Perhaps because a prim middle England wifey doesnt have the same 'impact' as a New York Deli man, and isnt that the point of the godam, motherfecking advert, or is it only me that can see that

Again

This advert isnt very good, but it won't turn kids into homosexuals...........

It's an advert, why weren't you ordering a pint/having a piss/making tea/picking your nose and examining the results/molesting your lass/booting the dog for farting etc etc etc, like the rest of the world does while the averts are on??

Since the Guinness horses, they're all shite.

We live in England...

So why would a New York Deli man appeal to the UK?

99.9% of the population wouldn't know one if he walked up to them, tapped them on the shoulder, and said hi i'm a new york deli man

I hate the Ocean Finance adverts and they're 'typical England' I guess.

It's shite because not much thought has gone into it.

It's irritating because it's got a crap actor performing a nauseating New York deli man.

And where did I say diversity wasn't good?

No, I wouldn't know what a stereotypical NY deli man talks like or even looks like. I've never been to New York.

Nor do I watch Americanbullshit films where they either save the world or tell each other how wonderful they are and have a group hug to prove how great the good old U S of Fkin A is as a dirty big propoganda stunt to the rest of the world.

But I've not even seen the offending ad either cos most telly is cack and I rarely watch that either.

I thought that advert was hilarious. I can't really think of any reason that people would want to take it off the air for that reason, unless they believe that by eating the deli sauces, you'll catch The Gay.

Only saw it once. Same as the cradle-to-grave advert for X-Box. All bollocks.

It doesn't, it happens cos the 23yr old Creative Assistant called Tristram or Oliver who works for nothing in the Advertising Agency wants to impress everyone he works with as to how cosmopolitan he is cos he's just come back from a holiday in New York and the person buying the ad doesn't want to look stupid by stating the obvious. Emperor's New Clothes.
