Can't beat a bit of loyalty eh?

Still, you can't blame him for wanting to further his career (cf Dimitri Konstantopolous, Hartlepool, 2007).

He's shown his true colours over the last few weeks.

Let him go to Spain. If he thought he was getting kicked every week in the PL wait till he plays in La Liga.

Great player, but I still wouldn't hesitate to slap him with a brick.

The worst thing is that he still resorts to diving even though he has tons more quality than the other players and could just dance around them.

A sad example of the Premier League on a whole really. It's not even the best league in the world - it's a 3 horse race.

He's a bounder, hugely talented, but still a bounder.

Let's hope he gets everything that he deserves.

i thought portugal were pretty impressive tonight, they are clearly a decent side.

If he was English, he would have any skill knocked out of him

Can anyone really name the last player who pulled on an England top who had true flair and attacking ability?

For me probably the likes of Hoddle, Waddle or Gazza

There isn't a player in the current England team worth paying the stupid money they ask to watch an International match now

1986 and 1990 world Cups we had skilful players and they didn't get the obscene amounts of cash they do today. They also had some pride in the shirt, rarely made headlines for being arseholes etc etc. Lost interest completely in wanting England to do well, about 4 years ago

What's wrong with leaving your job to do something for more money / new challenge elsewhere?

People do it all the time.......

If Real Madrid fail to meet Man Utd's valuation then he should continue to perform well for the rest of his contract but people leave jobs and drop their old employers in a bit of cack all the time in all walks of life.......

I seriously could not agree with you any more on that. The Premier League is so over hyped its ridiculous.

Just a thought but if the Premier League isn't the best what one is?

GP states that it's a 3 horse race but then again so was the German, Italian, Spanish & Turkish top flights with the team ending up in 5th place more than 20 points behind the winners.

In the champions league to have 3 teams in the semi - finals speaks volume no other nation had more than 1 team in the 2nd knockout stage.

The champions league is a sham

Champions means winner, ie 1st place, so why the fcuk do the top four get a crack at it in winkywanky league format instead of a straight knockout format?

Premiershit players are shite, thats why we never win anything and foreign clubs never buy English players in the volumes they did in the 70's and 80's

Nothing wrong at all me ol' Jonny. I'm just pissing myself laughing at Manchester being one-upped by Real.
M.U. have just won nearly every trophy any team could hope to win and their supporters are convinced they're the best team ever to walk the earth, when their star player -- who was basically made into what he is Manchester -- turns round and says "fook you I'm off to the join the big boys as soon as I get the chance." It's too funny.
