right, we went to the pictures to see Sex + the City [I know ] parked in the area reserved for users of the cinema/gym etc
came back to the car, lo! a parking ticket! reason given was for leaving the leisure park.
we still have the cinema tickets.
do we have a leg to stand on? seems wrong to me

If their argument is that you got the ticket cos you didn't go in the cinema then I think you've not only got a case but the ticket must be rescinded.

If, however, their argument is that after you went to the pictures you left the car there for another few hours while you went wandering about then they might have a point.

went to the cinema, checked the times, went to the newsagent for some mints,went back watched the crap film, went to the car.

they even have the time wrong on the ticket.

Refuse to pay it. Write to them explaining exactly what happened. Send 'em copies of the cinema tickets showing you saw the film.

And then ask them to tell you where the sign is that tells you that you're not allowed to go to the newsagent before going into the pictures.

Thing is, the traffic warden will have been peaking round the corner waiting for you to fluck off and up the stairs and wham bam theres a ticket for Mr Salty hehe..... proper tvvats!!!! My missus dad parked an inch over a bay no one could get into, not even a motorbike and the did him for £30!!! nuts!!!

I once parked in asda car park as I needed to do the weekly shop. Before I shopped in Asda I walked over to the town centre (just briefly) before returning to asda to find the car park twat had written a note and attached it to me windscreen stating "Please dont park in my car park and then leave to go over the town centre. If you do it again I will give you a ticket"

Everyone's got a horror story.

I once fell off a ladder and caught the end of my finger in a thorn hedge and nearly ripped the end of it off. I went to Halton Hospital driving one handed, bleeding like a stuck pig and parked in the car park to go into A&E. You've guessed it, when I came out a couple of hours later they'd ticketed my car.

yeah, but you can park there if you're using the facilities - which I was!!!

if public transport was a lot better I wouldn't have a car if I could help it. At least I don't have to use my motor as much now we're out of the pub - always running out of things so going to the shops/warehouse, going to the bank to put money in, get change etc.We live in the town centre so shopping comes without the hassle of using the car most times. Parking is always a problem in busy places so if I can do without the car I will. I t would be great to have a space age monorail thing with super fast elevators down to ground level and no cars required.

Go to a tribunal, get off with it 'cos the paperwork says you haven't done owt wrong, when the gadgie turns up, be Mr Nice Guy, reach whatever decision and then when you get outside, turn him into a Viking Blood Eagle, piss in the wounds, smear him with excrement, preferably that of a serial killer, put the whole mess in a box and deliver it to his wife and young children and say, 'now you know how the worthless piece of shit made people feel, as a career, and you lived off that.'
