I recently bought a DVI - HDMI Cable so that i could watch fillums on my tv that i had download (legaly of course), however i only have a VGA connection on my pc tower. the DVI and VGA are completely different connections.

The manual for my tv states that the cable i bought is the correct one, the problem is at the pc end.

Anyone got any ideas?

a High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) cable is used to connecting equipment such as xbox360, ps3, bluray, hd dvd, dvd upscalers to your tv to be able to watch high definition fillums/games etc, what you need is a vga cable, if i were you, i wouldnt goto currys they are £25 id goto a pc shop, probs pick one up for a fiver, you might be able to connect a hdmi cable to your pc with a new GFX card but the cheaper option would be to buy a vga cable
