If its a trojan, spyware software won't catch it, you need anti virus and using the internet without any is suicidal.

How do you know you've got a virus if you haven't any AV software already installed?

Solution
Install AVG Free; get it here:

Boot into safe mode (press F8 when starting your computer)
Run full system scan.

Reports results back here.
