this is why we cant compete with the likes of forrest and swansea in the championship if we went up! Imagine us spending that amount of coin on 1 player!!!!

Pools:
Average 4500 per game @ £15 average = 1.55 million on the gate

Forest:
Average 25000 per game @ £20 average = 11.5 million on the gate

It's the same reason Leicester and Leeds will be back up within a year or two.

So how do you account for Colchester competing then?

Or Scunthorpe?

Or Walsall previously?

Or Crewe?

Eh eh?

They didn't compete, they all came back down.

it's the same throughout the divisions really.
In our league the top 5 had the biggest wage budgets(at least based on players signing for them over other clubs),same can be said of league 2 the top 2 were the big payers.
It's the reason we laugh at sides like Leeds failing last season isn't it,big money side falling on it's arse.

Pools should be giving a chance to the best of north east talent/ We should be first in the queue to have a look at players that the mags and smogs release.

Just because forest have spent over a million on a player - it doesn't mean tht he will be any good.....

Anyone remember our first glimpse of Earnshaw at pools? Drew 2-2, I think on the first game of the season late 90's?

He scored and did his trademark backflip, then some pathetic 'lamb lover' jumped on the pitch to celebrate but promptly ran into the goalpost and knocked himself out. What a plank. Surely someone has a clip?

I'm sure that was against Cardiff, 1st game of the season. When he scored a cardiff fan tried to jump on the pitch collided with something and broke his arm

4500 * £15 * 23 = £1,552,500

But he even got that wrong, each game would be £67,500.
