BBC Parliament are replaying live coverage of Election 83.

Mrs Thatcher's just shook hands with people outside No 10 after winning (just gone 12:30pm on 10th June 1983), BBC have interviewed a few people who have shook hands with her.

Reporters asked people outside no 10 whether they were supporters of Mrs thatcher. One old man and and one old woman said No ! One of them had travelled down from Peterborough to be that afternoon.

Even worse, the reporter asked a woman where she had come from, she turned round and said "I'm on holiday from D***ington, Co Durham."   rolfl sctatchinghead
