Will enough people be there this week or is there a crown green bowls tournament or re-run of the Eurovision Song contest on telly that folk find more interesting?

I'll be there.

I didn't even know they were playing.

At least one, probably two from Billingham, providing Jonni hasn't got any more drinking sessions planned for tomorrow night. Matti sprained his ankle yesterday 5 minutes into an hours Badminton session, and we spent an hour and a half in North Tees A&E, a wonderful way to pass the time of day on a Bank Holiday.

It's all played in good spirits, nothing totally serious.

No one will hack at your ankles or try and barney with you if you mis time a tackle.

Everyone knows each other so it is played in a competitive but fair spirit.

Come along give us a try

Its only £1 to play and Mouldy gives the money to charity anyway so your helping a good cause.

And yes i play badminton and squash and tiddlywinks.

Cracking game last night- old folk v young pretenders.

And it was a closely fought draw.

In spite of the old folk being dead on their feet and playing at least a quarter of the game a man short due to Mr Elvis' unfortunate injuries- so really it was a moral victory for us oldies.

Nominations for goal of the evening have to be either Manny's Dean Windass style volley or Mr Mouldy's sublime chip over a totally deceived Mr Billingham who was keeping goal for the youngsters.
