It can't be particularly new cos they had an election last November and he got voted out- Kevin Rudd is their PM now.

The Australians claiming to speak English, thats a bit strong. We had a trip there and I was convinced they only spoke in that ridiculous accent when there were strangers around. A bit like the Welsh in North Wales.

Its a bit like the daft things like 'do tree's make a noise when falling if no-one is there is no-one there?' americans speak perfect queens english when the brits arn't there [allegedy] well, i know snoop speaks fine queens english.

It's one of them urban legend thingys, google it and you'll find a few sites that show how the message was created, it's like a cut and paste job.
