I haven’t posted much on this board recently and this will be my final post.
This board has got so bad now that it is nothing short of depressing, there are too many posters whose sole aim seems to be to moan at anything and everything to do with Pools, there are people moaning about signings we HAVEN’T even made yet, moaning about the one signing we HAVE made most haven’t even seen him play yet.
Whatever the club does or tries to do is met with nothing but disdain, the season ticket offer being the prime example.
It seems that anyone who dares to be positive about Pools or next season’s prospects is ridiculed or slated in one way or another and it’s just getting worse.
New posters are too often met with rudeness, the girl asking for info this week on the monkey legend being another example.
Posts being removed without explanation has only made my decision easier, I will miss reading the Bunker on one hand but I think mostly only because of my memories of when it was, not always positive but really was entertaining, interesting and stimulating. Now it seems to be the same everyday, whinging, twisting, pessimism, personal insults and infighting, it’s pathetic.
Don’t get me wrong there are plenty of times when I’ve been fed up with Pools for one reason or another and I’ve come on here and other forums and spouted my bit but for goodness sake, we haven’t even kicked a ball yet and people have got us relegated or telling us how un-entertaining we are going to be this coming season. I want us to sign new players as much as the next man but I’ll reserve my judgement until AFTER we’ve kicked off, for now I’m getting as excited as I always do, waiting for the new season to start. Did any of you EXPECT us to reach the play-offs at the start of the season when we finally did, I certainly didn’t but at THIS stage of that close season I certainly hoped and dreamt that we might, just like I do EVERY close season, play –offs or automatic promotion has been my hopes and dreams every year for the last 36 years and I’ve been disappointed in the majority of them, but I’ve always gone back with the same hopes for the next season.
If a few more of our fans got behind the lads from the start instead of going in expecting us to be bad, the lads might just have a better chance instead of feeling under pressure every time they make the smallest mistake.

I could go on forever (some are probably thinking I already have) but that’s it from me, enjoy your forum, I’ll probably have a glance from time to time but I’ll soon switch it off if it’s the same old crap.

Rant over and just one thing, KEEP THE FAITH, roll on August 9th.

Excellent post Mr Codyakker - sums up the views of plenty I'm sure. Unfortunately the minority of moaners seem to be those who make the most posts. Not sure why this should be the case but it is tiring trying to defend some of the rubbish that gets spouted, probably why I don't react as much as I used to.

You will be a loss to the board - another "voice of reason" lost amongst the constant moaning, back stabbing and in fighting by those who probably call themselves "supporters"

I just don't see us doing anything under Wilsons leadership...anything else is fine by me. Sorry, but some people expect us all to join hands and run through the mountain meadow like Julie Andrews and the Von Trapp family in the Sound of music sining cheerful songs in total harmony. Opinions differ, it can be equally irritataing when some people see the positive side of everything and never ever rock the boat... if we all agreed it would be like speed hump convention .... f***ing monotonous.
