No, but I was allowed to stay up late for the results on the News at Ten and I did manage to buy a programme for the match off e-bay a little while ago for 99p clappp

Wouldn't have been too far off the time me and our lass heard that Jake Thakray was on at the civic hall in Huyton and we went along to see him.

My mate waited outside the Mail Office for the green 'un, along with a healthy gathering of other poolies with high expectations. As soon as the mail came out he dashed to my house with it and brandished it in front of my faced yelling "Promotion!!!! (just enough time to get pissed)". I think evening kick-offs were a bit earlier those days.
