Southampton host Sheffield United who will want to win to get in the play-offs.

Leicester go to Stoke who need a point for promotion.

Sheff Wed have Norwich at home who have nothing to play for so will probably feel fairly confident of staying up.

Blackpool and Coventry could get sucked in but would need a surprising set of results.

From that lot you would normally fancy Sheff Utd to beat Southampton having won 4 out of their last 5 including beating Hull and Bristol City but have lost three key players which would make things interesting so they might nick a point. I can't see Leicester getting anything at Stoke and odds of 7/4 on them going down seem quite generous.

I reckon Leicester will go down, losing 3-1 at home to the Wendies was a poor result. Wouldn't mind a trip there or to Southampton, I don't think we've played either of them before?

now you've said that, we just know it's going to be...........I'm never going back to that shithole unless theere's a hell of a lot at stake on the pitch. Hate the place, and out of the only four games I've missed there in the past 26 years three times we've won, so I've never seen us win there (same as f-ucking b-as-tar-d cu-n-tfaced Scunthorpe - hate that place, too).

Anyway, who decides that the 5 or 10% of games I miss at a certain ground provides the only time Pools win there? Why do I have to go somewhere 10 times only to see 8 defeats and a couple of draws???

Best you stay at home when were away

Ordinarily I wouldn't mind a trip there but someone closer would suit me after the miles that have been covered this season. Leicester would be fine with me.

Easy Jet in one hour from Newcastle. Southampton would be a doddle. In fact, I may be correct in thinking it's possible to get back in the same day, given the proximity of St Mary's to the airport.

Fly-be, I mean

just looked at the fly-be website, they have flights from Southampton to Necastle around 7 pm-ish, and with it only being a 45 minute check-in, and 5 minutes taxi ride, I'm booking the flight tickets as soon as the fixtures come out. All Southampton has to do now, is get beat this Sunday and we're sorted!!!!

But personally I would like to see Blackpool come back down and get them away first game of the season.

Not only is it a good pissup in the summer but they'd be less of a threat to our chances next season than one of the so called bigger clubs.

The 1855h return flight is Sun-Fri, not Saturday.

The only Soton to Ncastle flight on a Saturday is 0650h.

Alternatively there is an 1135h or 1855h flight on the Sunday if you do a pissup in Southampton on the Saturday night.

Would be £38 e/w to do it this weekend.
