Which cards are those? The tarot cards?

I don't know what to think honestly. His record with Pools is pretty good but he's yet another manager who takes half a season to get going.
And in the one exceptional case where he did get going straight away, he never stuck around to finish the job.

makes sense

It rumours/stories are to be believed, then there is no love lost between Turner and DW.
Ken knows Turner and what he is capable of.

Also I've never understood why we need a Director of Football sctatchinghead

I'd be reasonably pleased. He'd be well backed by IOR, better with the fans, and in my opinion is no worse a manager than danny wilson.

i have been a critic of his in the past especially on big games and at times his abilty to change a game
but IOR are probably looking for a safe pair of hands to deliver a reasonable centenary season
we dont want a repeat of this stuff do we?
they do say a manager should never go back but billy horner never listend to that so i say give it a go

I've been hearing the same for a couple of weeks.

It wouldn't upset me in the slightest.

I heard today today that DW is loved by all the players and is to be rewarded with a new 5 year contract.

I also heard that he NEVER shouts and bawls in the team talks, which the players love, and that he has a fantastic relationship with the chairman, and absolutely loves Hartlepool United.

And he never blames the players for defeats. Thats NEVER.

Looks like I may be only one who wouldn't want Turner reappointed, though if he was I would give him my support as Pools' manager.

But come on he been out of the game as a manager since Boxing day 2005 when he was sacked by Stockport after winning 7 games in 50 games. At Wednesday he won 29 out of 96 thats a total of 36 games won out of 146. That is over approx 3 seasons Now 36 wins in 3 seasons averages out at 12 wins a season.

Now let's look at that record honestly and for not what he did at Pools'.

WOULD ANY FAN ACCEPT ANY OTHER MANAGER WITH THAT TYPE OF RECORD AS A GOOD APPOINTMENT.

I give my answer ....................NO................ and any one who says they would are only kidding themselves.

Football is not a game for sentiment.

If we change manager bring one in who has still been in the game and who has a winning mentality, and can take Pools to the next level.
