We must be nearly as stupid as Chris Young who wrote in The Mail last night that Joel Porter loves to play off a big target man.

But apparently the reason we were cack on Saturday was cos we were missing Richie Barker and we need to sign another striker like him to ensure that we always have a steg available.

Apparently it was nowt to do with the jumped up little fkers decision to play 5 in midfield at home, start with Robbie Elliott or leave a fully fit Mackay on the bench.

If I didn't know better I'd think that the smarmy clueless get deliberately threw that game on Saturday with his team selection just to try and justify his preferred boring style of play and favouritism of Barker.

When people are so determined to prove a point they might resort to anything.

Wilson said the former Mansfield man has been a big miss both on and off the pitch.

He said: "As much as people want to criticise Richard Barker, it just goes to show how much you miss someone of his quality and what he gives to the team.

"There are going to be certain times when you can get away without him. But it is a physical league and if you have not got anyone physical up the top, you find it keeps coming back at you.

"His standards are very high and he brings people up to his standard. We knew that when we bought him.

Joel is a perfect 'target man' when played with another mobile centre forward (*cough James Brown, thats James Brown Danny boy) He's not the type of target man who you can resort to lumping it to and hope he wins a flick on he's the type who'll come short and with balls to feet and to his chest with his superb touch will link up play and actually make things happen.

Barker is the type of forward you need in the squad, he's someone you can throw on and someone who is ideal for certain games. He will run through brick walls and I wouldn't knock him.

For the 3,000th time this season Danny nobody is criticising Richard Barker they are cristising you.
