Ashley Cole shouldn't be allowed to cross the half way line.

didn't think it was a bad game overall, seen worse.
we controlled the game before going behind albeit without creating a clear cut chance, once behind we had to chase. too many changes at half time.
gareth barry played well again, looks more balanced with him in the side.

The general consensus before tonights 5-aside was that no-one gave a shiny shite about the England match. A sad state of affairs when a group of like minded individuals who are obviously football nuts care so little for their national side.

I only watched about 10 minutes of the highlights, got bored, turned over to watch Sex and the city.

I think i would have rather watched Chips highlights than that lot.

Even though Capello has changed the system around (he started with something like a 4-2-3-1 formation I think) it was noticable that we still resort to pumping cross after cross into the French box only for them to knock it straight back out again. I agree with an earlier post who said that if Pools played like this people simply wouldn't go. It's crap to watch - I would rather watch Monkhouse and Browny knocking the ball about in a fast flowing, ball on the deck, passing style any day...

The reason so many people watch England and the premiership is because it is 'cool' and they can ponce about in a premiership shirt. We have over 100,000 of them in the north east and look at some of the fare on offer at our 'big three'. It's not fashionable to watch 'little owld Artlepool'.

Ashley Cole shouldn't be allowed on the team coach. He is vermin, and crap. Why not play Wayne Bridge or someone else.

All the lads at work have all been offering their theories today as to why England are sh*te and how we can improve. Yeah you know the ones.... they never go, or have gone, to actually watch any football at all ever but suddenly become the worlds expert on it as soon as England play.... I really have to hold my tongue before I just tell them to F*** OFF!!
It's the same when the 6 nations is on... everyone is suddenly the biggest England rugby fan, but how many of them know, for example, how many points you get for a try? I once asked this lad in the pub, proudly stood with his England rugby top on, this same question and he didn't know!!!! I would have thought it was quite fundamental really......? rolfl

Anyway back to the point - I have come to the conclusion that England are worse than other countries teams because English players aren't as good as foreign players. It's as simple as that.

There is always a line you have to draw I think. I am no avid rugby fan by my own admission but I will support my country to the full whenever they play. I'm not as bad as not knowing how many points for a try, conversion etc but I'm at a loss with some of the rules
