He was absolutely clueless.

I lost count of the amount of free kicks he failed to award us, he seemed unable to spot late challenges and pushes. I thought Yeovil were a rather niggly dirty team actually, that's all they offered to the game as well.

How about the obvious back pass and the clear penalty for handball?

The obvious handball, he wasn't sure so checked with his assistant who couldn't have seen it as it was the opposite side of the defender to where the assistant was stood.

The obvious back pass was more of a bundle back by the defender, its only a back pass if he kicks it, looked to me like it came off his mid-rift.

I know it's traditional to slag the ref off, but he can only give what he sees and has only a split second to make a decision.

The backpass hit his foot about three times, were else was the defender trying to put it? If the keeper hadn't picked it up it would have gone in.

The handball was a better save than the keepers initial one he looked like he was auditioning for the Harlem globetrotters

I lost count of the late off the ball challenges, he seemed reluctant to give us anything.

Yes I get your point.

We've won two nil and you want to slag the referee off. Fair enough.

The guy was a joke. The handball was obvious, and even little decisions were awful. I think Yeovil are the most physical team I've seen at the Vic this year and it was only the ref that didn't realise

IMHO it was just about the worst refereeing performance I have seen in years. I really cannot understand how you could say he did alright.

Boyeson did the same thing as Rennie a few years ago when he'd produced one of the most biased displays against us, when he gave a succession of meaningless free kicks around the halfway line to us in the last few minutes to even up the stats.
The ultimate Boyeson moment today had to be the "advantage" he indicated in the incident the resulted in Barker's injury.
Liddle was taken down from behind 20 yards out, the ball ran through to Barker but the coming together between him and their player meant the ball ran clear, at which point he should have brought it back for the original free kick.
Instead he continued to indicate advantage, when the ball was in their keeper's hands sctatchinghead

Just a thought.
Did he get loads of abuse from the poolies right from the start?
He is after all, remembered by some on here.
It shouldnt make any difference at all.
But I bet it does sometimes....

Thats like saying Ian Huntley was an "alright" guy.

For fucks sake he was as useless as he always is. One of the most inept performances of the season.

The same one

Surely he can't have been really shite for 2 games this season

But he looks to be our lucky ref this season though, played 3 won 3

It's not really very often the outcome of a match is decided because of a series of awful decisions made by a referee, but in his instance there's no doubt he could cost someone three points, most probably us at some point in future.
There was a definite bias towards the away team.
