which I think we will, and also quite easily I think we'll lose them - then the only other times we've lost as many away games in a season (17) were all re-election seasons. That is how disgraceful the attitude of the players has been away from home this season. Those teams from the past weren't good enough to get anything else but 17 away defeats in a season, but this team is far better than what it has achieved.
What is the answer?
Certainly a large finger has to be pointed at weak management, but there are certain players who can't get a grip of things mentally when everything is not going for the team - regardless of their ability. There needs to be someone in the team like Mark Tinkler or Paul Stephenson, somebody who can dominate the centre of the park away from home and get this lot playing to their capabilities.
I'm not at all happy with what's happened this season, and we WILL be relegated next term with the same "couldn't-give-a-fuck-attitude."

Parmo, let's lose them first before entering into that hypothesis.

What I want to know is how the same basic team can go from sugar to shite overnight.
Previously we (meaning you lot) have blamed the manager for selecting the wrong team.
But we were mostly happy with the team against Tranmere (Wilson's hand forced bla bla bla).
Nearly everyone agreed we were unlucky.

Today Godwin came in for a poor McCunnie, and the result was the same score but this time not unlucky, just a side incapable of stopping teams scoring at will against us (if the echos I have heard about today are true).

So did Wilson find a way of demotivating them during the week or what?
Or are they just basically a bunch of players you can't rely on?

I wasn't there, I half followed the game on PW, so someone please tell me what did Wilson do wrong?

Whether the players are inconsistent, lazy, contrary or just plain puzzled is beside the point.... the trouble with the lazy players theory, is that this 'malady' seems to affect them all at the same time and the idea of group or communal madness breaking out is most unlikely. Do we let Wilson spend years assembling a squad of Foleyesque grafters around Barker to prove his obsessive theory that grafters = points = prizes ...?
Ultimately, it's down to the manager to sort it out, if he can't manage the assets to their full potential, he's wasting his time and ours.

Bristol Rovers, Brighton and Walsall away, I'm quite certain, will = Luxembourg's tally in any given Eurovision song contest.
Who honestly thinks we will get anything from these games?
I don't think the players themselves believe they can even get so much as a single point from the three.

A world where no questions are asked or possibilities pondered may be paradise to you, but would you fly in a plane that someone never tested....you have to ask questions and pose the most banal of possibilities to avoid them. Wouldn't every organisation just love it if everybody just accepted what they said as Gospel, why should football be different...?

precisely. How many times can another away defeat be "such a surprise" or "didn't seen that one coming," before people just want to put the lot of them in stocks down the Marina and pelt rotten fruit at the useless gets?
