At least he would be threat at corners and set pieces and be able to go up front for the last ten minutes if an equaliser/winner were needed. :sweeeet:
Nelse has been disappointing on these occasions

he can welcome to the board. hes nowt special ffs, I cant beleive the way some Pools fans go on about him. Nelse may be a bit dodgy but he is still better than Lee, we all said so when we signed Nelse so why change now. Fickle gets

Lee could always show a bit of skill when bringing the ball out from defence, however this was generally negated with poor upfield punting (admittedly Nelson is just as bad at doing this).
Defensive skills - Nelson is more aggressive and determined at winning tackles/defensive headers than Lee.
Attacking threat - Lee is more of a threat at the other end of the pitch and is always likely to get you a few goals per season with either head or foot, whereas Nelson's goals are few and far between.
If you could combine the best attributes of both players we would have a top quality centre half.

i think Lee started out as a striker then converted to a centre half
as for fickle i was not advocating signing just passing on the news

Thing about Lee is he has elasticated knees. He'll be standing a metre or so behind an opponent who seems dead cert to take possession, and then you'll see Lee's boot appear in mid-air, casually overtake the opponent and remove the ball. The rest of Lee won't have moved an inch during all this, and then the knee will retract into normal patellar position. I would play Graeme every game just to watch that.

I always prefer the human element.
It's so tedious if you spend matches just waiting for an opportunity to air your knowledge of the off-side rule
