It already costs me nearly £70 to fill the car up and I'm lucky to get 400 miles from a full tank!

I spend about £15000 a year on fuel. Good thing that its a company car so someone else is paying for it! It doesn't help that my new car is a 2.5 litre petrol automatic!

the point Mutters is trying to make is, the items we buy a lot of or spend a lot of our income on (alcohol, tobacco, petrol, gas and electricity etc) are sky high, but occasional purchases such as toasters are now cheap as chips.
Or else he might be saying we should stop paying our gas bills etc and buy toasters sctatchinghead

114.9 per litre diesel down here, local to me. Successive goverments have and continue to encourage people to move out of towns and then have a captive market in fuel charges and / or expensive public transport. At the same time services such as hospitals, libraries, social services offices and other local authority services are being 'centralised' to the disadvantage of the majority.

Now't especially flash. Mondeo Titanium x 2.5

Mind you, those new Mondeos do drive very very well. Even so, if I was shelling out £25'000 for a car, it wouldn't be a Ford.

I concur.

They're nice looking cars but overpriced new for what they are, i.e. a Ford!

If they're trying to compete with the nazis (which they seem to be doing looking at their prices) then I know who my money would be on.

that is the closest petrol station to where i live and i refuse to use it because of that reason, i go the extra couple of miles and pay 5p per litre less, which may sound like nowt but an average of 30 quids worth of diesel a week over a year and it all adds up.

prices are scandalous!!!

This one isn't really a "this country" thing is it. Fuel prices are hitting the roof all over the place. Just been looking at France, which used to be cheaper than here, and they've caught us up, although the picture is a bit clouded 'cos diesel is cheaper than petrol there.

We still use the grill on the oven for toast. Never really liked toaster toast, it's not as good as 'real' grilled toast.

Kev, how much is a Carlsbro Keyboard combination amp 'Colt 120, 120W, 3 Channel'. I see they are made in China. If they're cheap enough could you stick a stamp on one and post it over. Cheers.

I dunno spud, but I will check and see what I can come up with.

A stamp is only one jiao, but it'll be obsolete when it gets to you. The keyboard not the stamp. :sweeeet:
