... BBC Tees was asked about Antwis substitution shortly into the second half on Friday night ( I thought at the time he may have had an injury anD was going to see if he could carry on but couldn't)...anyway, to my surprise he said the switch was tactical in view of Northamptons change.... so we're at home and he's changing formation in response to the visitors, er.... shouldn't we be the ones forcing the opposition to respond to us...? sctatchinghead

We should be but with such an incompetant excuse for a manager in charge, this is the way we do things until we get rid

Surely tactics are in response to whoever makes the first move? Home field advantage doesn't have that much of a role in team management

The point I'm making, is that we are responding to them, if you've picked your best team to do your job for you, let them get on with it... to react to every tactical move your opponent makes immediately puts you and your intentions on the back foot...your tactics go out of the window and the advantage goes to the opposition as they dictate the game will be played..on their terms...a substitution after two minutes is to me a sign of a manager panicking....even if a change was needed... you give it time to see how it works out... this was pure knee jerk in my eyes.

'Home field advantage', FFS, what the HELL does that mean

There was no need whatsoever to take Antwi off, his tactical nous is bobbins, and this arse of a change showed that

And here's me thinking we'd all prefer Jamie McCunnie to be playing at right back anyway, damned if you do, damned if you don't
